HCD to coordinate 'Live Line' at National Electronics Week
HCD, the Letchworth based electronics design and contract manufacturer, are extremely pleased to announce that they will be participating in the Live Line at this year’s National Electronics Week exhibition on the 18th & 19th April.
The aim of this year’s live line is to demonstrate the complete product life cycle from concept through design, to finished product. HCD hardware engineers and PCB designers have created a product especially for the show and our manufacturing process engineers will be working with the various equipment manufacturers and material suppliers such as Blundell, Europlacer, Goepel and Total Circuit Solutions to produce a fully functional product that will be given away to visitors to the show.
Previous live lines mainly demonstrated the technical capabilities of the hardware involved in the assembly and inspection of PCBs with little or no information on how the project had actually got to that stage.
HCD aim to demonstrate the full product life cycle with examples of prototypes, highlighting DFM issues and the various processes that any product must go through before entering production, culminating in production boards running on the line at the show. Visitors will then be able get the boards programmed and tested creating a fully functional product for them to take home.
About HCD
HCD (Holmes Circuit Design) was founded in 1996 and is now headquartered in Letchworth, Herts. The company began as a PCB design consultancy and gradually moved first into contact manufacturing, then cable assembly and most-recently, box build as the needs of its customer base developed. From PCB design through to final product assembly, HCD has developed by investing in plant and personnel, and now offers a complete in-house solution for electronics prototyping and assembly.
